UK Tier 4 Visa student application in Malaysia 2017

My application to study Osteopathy in UK timeline
8/8/17- apply for ELTS test through online website
12/8/17- sit for ELTS exam in taylor uni campus (result out in 25/8/17)
17/8/17- send out email to school for application

17/8/17- received reply within a day

21/8/17- skype interview which leads to verbal confirmation of acceptance

22/8/17- apply through UCAS (in clearing process as its in august) and select european school of osteopathy as first choice, after application send UCAS personal ID to school admin to inform them so they can look out for my application at UCAS

23/8/17- went and did Tuberculosis Test -Xray at

You need 1)passport 2)1x passport photo to stick on TB Certificate 3)pen to fill in TB form

pay less than RM200 and receive TB cert on the same day (total duration for me is about 3.5hr from filling in form-waiting-process-payment-waiting-xray-waiting-see dr get cert-go home)

25/8/17- UCAS confirmed place

25/8/17- ELTS result out send final document to school admin in order to prepare CAS-confirmation of acceptance for studies

31/8/17- receive CAS letter email from school (only can apply visa once you have CAS number)

31/8/17- apply UK VISA tier 4 general student https://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/home/welcome

attached details that i have some trouble filling in 1) English Language Test (awarding body, title of qualification and level of qualification) i took academic ELTS and my overall band score is 7-CEFR lvl C1)

2)course fees- 10500-3000 i paid in deposit = 7500

maintenance fee- 9135 this figure is provided by school admin in CAS letter

total- 9135+7500= 16635

after completing application, proceed to make an appointment (vfsglobal located at WISMA MCA to hand in the documents), make visa application payment (USD456) and health surcharge payment (USD918) online

31/8/17- Then I proceed to https://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/malaysia/ to register for 

1)PREMIUM LOUNGE RM195 - to avoid waiting lining up and get FREE passport photo taken together with finger prints for biometric residence permit

2 PRIORITY VISA Service RM1067- to fasten the process for Visa approval 5-7 working days instead of 10-15 working days

5/9/17-Attend visa appointment at WISMA MCA (vfsglobal)

8am-2pm for application submission

My appointment is at 9am, once you reach the 19th floor take your appointment letter and receipt for premium lounge as above image and show to the guard and he will let you cut cue to the front.

1) First before going in, you will see a person at the hallway seated with a table and chair, the person will help you sort out your documents in order with appropriate classification. By no means the person is going to help you with your submission they only serve to classify your document. The first question she ask me is what documents would you like to submit, i reply what documents would you like, and she repeat it is up to me to submit what documents i deem necessary. I repeat VFSglobal only serve to collect documents from you and they will send it to Philippine to process, they only serve as data collection center. No one, i repeat no one is there to guide you in full. The following are the documents i deem necessary and from what i read from other blog and my CAS letter.

1)Visa application sign and dated

2)CAS confirmation of acceptance for studies letter

3)Education documents-Academic transcript, ELTS, Degree cert required by CAS letter

4)Tuberculosis Cert

5)Financial documents-letter of undertaking, august bank statement (over 28days so need to  provide bank reference letter), birth certificate (translated in english)

6)Passport

7)Payment for visa (as for my case i just show the above receipt)

Only tuberculosis cert and visa application need to be original the rest of the document can be original or photocopy, (i submit the rest of the document photocopy even though i have the original with me because i got no clue what is happening/ what the procedure is) Basically the documents are taken to photocopy/scan by the next person you see.

So after the arrangement/classification of the documents by the first person, you will have your documents back with passport and you will take this arranged documents to the security guard to take number and check bag. Then you will enter the room and wait for your number to be called shown in the picture.

Number called, pass the documents and passport to the Second person and show her the payment receipt then proceed to the Premium lounge door 12 seen on the picture and wait for your name to be called.

Once called, enter the room get your photo and finger prints taken. Documents will be given back to you without the passport together with collection receipt for your passport next time. Go HOME

my appointment is at 9am before 10am i left the building. First Person sort out documents 5min, take number wait to see second person 5min, enter room see 3rd person 5min, total duration plus waiting time should be within 25mins. Everything happened so fast and off you go.

Note: i brought my passport photo with white background but didn't use it since nobody ask for it, i did not paste my passport photo on my visa application form cause i'm waiting for someone to go through my documents with me which did not happen and suddenly i was told everything done and go home. This matter make me worry like crazy for 2hours after leaving the building, i kept thinking maybe is because i got my photo taken in the VIP lounge thats why nobody mention to me about my missing passport photo on my visa application form, or nobody actually cares about it since they serve as a document collection center only. Lucky i'm attending 8.5days meditation course at the same time which removes my worries straight away. Whatever will be will be.

So recap you get all your documents back except your passport on the same day, the first person sort out your documents and arrange in order, second person will take your documents to scan/photocopy, third person take my head/face photo and finger prints and give me back my documents. NOBODY is going to sit nicely to talk to you and go through with you slowly regarding your document submission or application. Everything happen in a very fast order/manner.

12/9/17- received sms and email to collect my passport, apply visa on 5th received on 12th (5working days) the photo taken in the VIP lounge was used for UK entry clearance sticker attached in the passport. Passport collection time is 3pm-5pm only, remember to bring the collection receipt.

My class start 25/9/17. Looking back in time i only tried my luck to apply for UK studies on 17/8/17 since i already got an offer letter from Melbourne February 2018 intake. My case has prove that you are still able to apply for UK studies even if you only have less than 1 month time.
