First Day of School

Welcome to European school of Osteopathy, my first day of school after graduating back in year 2007 in Bachelor of Pharmacy, Curtin University, Perth, WA.

Woke up early in the morning at 6am feeling excited ready to take on the world, took 8.20am bus and arrive at 8.50am. The moment i got off the bus there are a few more people that got down as well, straightaway we knew we are a bunch of osteopathy student walking to school from the bus station. Apparently it is rare people take buses to ESO most of them drive or have those who have car to give them a lift. We chat along the way from the bus stop to the school takes about 5-7mins.

The moment i enter the school there like 30-40 students already there and started introducing myself to those around me. There are plenty of students from france, switzerland & italy and i couldn't pronounce their name, is just too hard. In total there's 75 student in the 1st year, quite a large group as usually the size is around 50 student per year. Out of this 75 student, i'm the one and only ASIAN and also the only person with Chinese name, the rest of the students are white, non black and non brown so i'm the odd one with yellow skin. I guess i only manage to speak to 20people and thats it, out of this 20 people i probably could only remember 10-12 name. Based on the statistic, i'm not good at socializing, i prefer to keep my circle of friends small & close.

This is my lovely school environment, those few buildings you could see forms the school buildings, and surrounding the school is vast vast land of greenery and blue sky. This is one of the reason why i choose to study here instead of University College of Osteopathy (previously known as British school of osteopathy) located in center of London. Over here you get nature at its best, there are classes for planting and harvesting your own food and cooking lessons as well if you are interested. The classes are smaller compare to UCO and you learn/exposed to much more different variety of osteopathic skill, and the skills come not only from UK but is rooted from many different european countries. It is the ability to lean cranial osteopathy, visceral osteopathy and specialise in sports as well as peads & maternity and also 1000+ hrs of practical that make me choose ESO over my offer letter from Victoria University in Melbourne.

Goodnite guys getting tired from the walking all day and i feel my feet burning now, for the past few days i slept before 10am since the street start to quite down from 8pm onwards, there isn't anything else going outside and i've asked a few people who live in maidstone, they all slept around 10am and work up at 6am.
