Completion of 8.5day Bohdi Meditation Health & Happiness retreat afterthought

I just received my certificate of completion today and would like to share my findings in regards to the course. The course starts at 8.30am to 6pm, every morning at 7.30am there will be a group of people practicing energy bagua til 8.30am and anyone is free to join. It is held in the hall with few groups of people walking around a green plant. Energy bagua helps to replenish energy & improves immunity, there are plenty of testimonial just search the internet.
First thing first when people hear this 8.5 day course is free and light meals are provided 3 times a day, there would be a great suspicion on how they survive or what kind of tactics they are going to get money from you. Throughout this course i've spend money on the last days on 3 things voluntarily. 1)blessing light starting from RM20 and 2)Annual pedestal bright light RM300 and 3)Sakyamuni buddha thangka RM500 for blessing on my health and wisdom as i will be going to UK to study by end of the month. None of these services are promoted you have to enquire it on your own at the counter.


Their center rely on sponsorship for survival, usually those who have greatly benefit from puti teaching will sponsor money and people who work there are voluntary. Since they didn't talk about sponsorship or donation i can't share much but i do see a sponsorship form where you can sponsor for food,service operation etc. You can choose to do voluntary work by filling up a form stating which time you are free. I didn't sign up for voluntary work or be a student of puti. There is no pressure at all which you might think you will be put under an uncomfortable situation. The whole 8.5 days is very relaxing and easy going, no money is involved unless you like me would like some blessing service or felt that the course has help you greatly and would like to sponsor any amount for their operation. Thats all for the sensitive part when it comes to money, i hope i could clear up your doubts and once again reinforce that you will absolutely not feel uncomfortable or pressure or by any means to fork out money, just accept it as i've said Free course & meal, is that simple.

Time passes very fast each day for me, as the environment provided is superb, i can understand why so many elderly take this place as their second home. The environment is conducive for developing benevolence and mercy which is the main teaching of the course. Everybody there is super nice and polite, i just can't stress how good the whole environment is..... is so peaceful and full of positive energy vibe. I strongly recommend anyone to go for the course as it will enlighten you and change the way you think and act. It is like a short course about the path of life you should be practicing, the path of survival not just surviving in the world but with quality.

Typical day
8.15am-breakfast (porridge/mee/roti canai/bread)
8.30am- Greater illumination meditation for 1-1.5hr
10.30am- Purity meditation 0.5hr
11.00am- Tea time (biscuit,bread, hot chocolate)
11.15am- Video of  teaching on different topic each day by master JinBohdi
12.30-1pm- Lunch time (vegetarian) each person has individual box meal
1pm-2pm- Sharing of experience in regards to meditation or understanding of teaching
2pm-3pm- Greater illumination meditation for 1hr
3pm-3.15pm- Tea Time
3.15pm- Chanting  (part of meditation)
4.30pm- video of teaching by master JinBohdi
5.30pm- some singing or dancing
6pm- Dinner

Video of teaching uses alot of real life experience so it is very easy to understand and relate to. The teaching is not about Buddhism neither is the meditation about Buddhism. I repeat the teaching is not about spreading Buddhism it is about compassion & benevolence. The teaching include structure of crystal how it looks like when you have good intention, speaks about gratitude and positive words compare to evil intention and negative words. You can youtube for more video on this topic. Once you understand this concept and human body is being made by 70% of water you might start to change.
 
I will touch only on a few more teaching here. 
1) benefit of meditation on how it could make you wiser, awaken your wisdom, calm you down as a person. Example, in a flowing water/river you could only see the water flowing, but at the same time there is ongoing sedimentation you could not see and light particle that float on top of the water. It is only when the water stand still then you could see the separation. Light stuff will float and heavy stuff will sediment and clear water in between. Through meditation/stillness any heavy/negative thought will sediment sink and excreted, your mind will be light and you will have better understanding of all aspect of life. There is so much more in regards to meditation eg. meditation as a means for reducing the karma of your previous life 

2) doing charity work ,selfless deeds to benefit not only you but your family and your next generation as well. The good deeds that you do will accumulate and spread throughout your lifetime or to your next generation

3)happiness start with gratitude, how to be happy, how to be healthy, think in other peoples shoes

Personally i can see i'm at a much peaceful mental state especially during driving, matters that seems to bother me in the past no longer affects me. I will give you an example, on the third day of the course in the morning i went to apply my UK visa, in my visa application form i did not attach my passport photo on the form however because i paid for VIP lounge service, i have my photo taken for biometric residence permit (visa process will be another post). So basically i was worried mad that i forgot to attach my passport photo on the form as i was waiting for someone to review my documents with me which did not happen and all out a sudden i was told i'm done and to go home. So for few hours i kept worrying about my application then i continue my meditation course in brem mall,kepong. After awhile the issue no longer bothers me, previously i was thinking about the worst that could happen, solution to fix the problem etc etc. my mind keeps thinking about on the issue. But this no longer happen after an hour in the hall. I just no longer care about the problem as to me it has become a minor issue or i just let the situation be whatever it is going to be and relieve myself from the stressful situation. Besides that i've also gain energy through meditation, before this course i use to wake up at 9-10am and have afternoon naps sometimes, but past few days i woke up at 7am and doesn't feel sleepy at all especially during meditation and teaching time. There are occasion where i feel sleepy during certain time of meditation but it doesn't last long, the sleepiness end once the meditation finishes.

In conclusion i believe this 8.5day course definitely will change my life in a certain way and i'm grateful to have this opportunity to come across this society. i'm the youngest at the age of 33 in this 8.5day course. This course will be held once every month in brem mall, kepong. The earlier you attend the course the better it is for you and you will hear alot of people saying they wish they have come here at an earlier age because of how this course can shape your life. Kepong branch was establish in 2016 october so it is a very new, comfortable and wide place.
