Mexican Food Dining

Is Friday night, after having tasted tasted some ethnic flavour of Thai, Asian, Japanese, Korean, Italian and Turkish kebab.... its time for something new...

Tonite we shall dine in That Little Mexican Place, just a small and intimate dining place around the corner in Bentley... obviously as the name stated, it serves Mexican food.... Slowly the memories of having oven baked nachos in curtin university rekindled my interest in Mexican food...

There is about 20 seats with old retro Mexican poster on the walls... the green and red napkins on the wooden table provides colourful contrast..... and the chairs are comfy enuff for me to lay back...

First when looking at the menu seems impressive as i couldn't even pronounce a single Mexican word from the menu and could not have figure out what the dishes were without reading the description.... when asked the waitress for a proper pronounciation... *she blushes~

With the entree we have choriso en vino ($10) made up of Mexican sausage, served sizzling.... and chile con queso ($13) served with organic blue corn chips to dip with some warm cheese... honestly i think the sausage is a rip off... so expensive and is like just one sausage with some spice herbs in it and chop till small pieces and served by a sizzling plate la..... as for the chile con queso is okay... (initially i thought damnn.... the chips can eat wan or not.... looks like small thin slice of charcoal to me lerrr... but turns out okay okay... warm cheese can say nice la)

The dish that you can see clearly is mine -quesadilla de carne asada ($23)- marinated steak, with chees between tortillas, behind wan is -chimichanga de borrego ($22) slow cooked lamb-wrapped tortilla and baked... Below are s-camarones dal mojo de ajo ($27)Prawns served sizzling with cactus (eh cactus okayyyy... i never knew they can be eaten.... it looks like green peppers that is being sizzled... taste sweet n okay according to the eater) and the other wan is juz some shredded beef in fried tortilla.

Their food all came with Mexican rice.... with some dunno what topping (reminds me of bah ku teh yam rice.... damn la i miss my bah ku teh), salad and flour tortilla (bread)... As you can see sauces were drizzle french-style on top of the food and some stuff peripherally.... Waiters were fine and has the intention of making sure we enjoy our food and have a good time....

Overall we ordered at 7.15pm and waited for 1 hour and 10 mins for our meals to arrive... for god sake 30mins is already long..... 1 hour??? wtfff laaa..... i si beh hungry at that time k..... honestly i didn't enjoy my main meal i don't know about others.... seems like they doesn't have any complains but when ask by waitress how was the food everyone kept saying oohhh is very nicee.... (i guess everyone is keeping to themselves the food is actually not nice... to me is a rip off for the money i paid)
